Orientation 2014 is Grenfell Campus’ way of welcoming new students to the campus community, setting the stage for first-year students to become graduates of Grenfell Campus.

Orientation 2014 (#getgrenfelled on Twitter) is a semester-long process that began in June with Parents’ Orientation and continues with activities throughout September.

Orientation programming will continue so that students feel supported and embraced as they navigate their first year. In order for students to integrate into university life, Orientation 2014 will include a “Get to Know Your Prof” activity in which professors introduce who they are and what they do in five minutes, a campus-wide afternoon during which all faculty and staff help students to find their classrooms, and an outdoor dance party at Marble Mountain. Concerts and other evening social events are scheduled for the month of September.

In addition, a specific orientation has been scheduled for international students which includes sessions on health insurance, dealing with culture shock, community tours and a tips to adjust to the new academic and community surroundings.
